A First Person Survivor Shooter made in a week. Survive for two minutes from the endless hordes of zombified toys.

Made for Game Design and Development with Unity 2020 : 3D Shooter course on Coursera. The major changes in the project are :

  1. Rewrote the entire project from scratch. I began with taking the Unity's Survival Shooter project as a reference and then wrote all the logic to reimagine it as a first person shooter.
  2. Implemented a scriptable object based event relay system that is used quite a lot throughout the project to decouple systems and reduce script dependencies.
  3. Added several layers of polish such as camera transitions, animated ui and floating texts to make the game feel better.

The game still has several areas where improvements are needed. Some of them are:

  1. Adding an upgrade system : Currently the level ups attained do nothing other than adding to score. The original plan was to add an vampire survivor like upgrades systems to make the game more gun.
  2. Ammo and reload systems : the gun currently has infinite ammo which makes the gameplay less challenging. A better way will be to add a reload system so that the player has to survive through when the gun is reloading
  3. More animations : The FPS part of the game is pretty static at the moment. I want to improve it by adding more animations like bobbing, reloading, shooting etc.

The credits for this game are as follows:

  • Art and music - Unity Technologies (Survivor Shooter Tutorial)
  • Font - Luckiest Guy (Licensed under Apache License)
  • Skybox - Farland Skies by Borodar
  • Programming - Aayush Kashyap
